New Zealand sevens star Ben Lam will be winging it in a Hurricanes jersey for the next two years after signing with the Investec Super Rugby champions for 2017 and 2018.
“It’s an exciting time to be joining the club. The Hurricanes are the current Super Rugby champions and have been in the final for the past two seasons, so you can see they are building something special and I felt like the chance to be a part of that would be awesome,” Lam said.
“I see this move as a great opportunity to develop my game and also as a fresh start for my fifteens career.”
He was a member of the Blues 2016 squad before injury struck in the preseason, also ruling him out of the New Zealand Sevens team's Olympic Games squad.
